While the Heat press method uses Vinyls to be printed and pressed on, Direct to film relies on transparent film which gives it a more clean looking and light feeling print, with it's longegivity living up to the standards of a Direct to garment (up to 60 washes), this makes it our most sought after branding method for customers looking for a budget option as it offers high print quality, stunning and vibrant colours, and a long lasting print, for a fraction of the price.

  • File Format: PNG, JPG*, PDF (Vector), SVG, EPS.
  • Resolution: 300dpi - 1200dpi
  • Colour Format: CMYK

Additional formats may be required if neccessary.

We encourage that artworks contain a Transparent Background (No background), unless it is a full colour image.

Unfortunately we do not print using PANTONE colours, we therefore print a RGB/CMYK equivalent, we do not guarantee a 100% Colour match.

We offer a re-draw service should you require assistance with your artwork, pricing to be confirmed when placing your order or creation of a quote.

*JPG format images are only to be supplied if it is a full colour image such as a landscape or photograph, but it is best practice to try and avoid this format for artwork and design purposes, unless agreed upon with your sales consultant.

1. Placing a JPG or PNG into a PDF vector document unfortunately does not make it a vector artwork, the source format is preserved when being uploaded, should you wish to verify the authenticity of the artwork, please zoom in to your artwork at 600% as shown in the example below:

2. While Transparent backgrounds are required for artworks that shouldn’t have a background, kindly be aware that designs that feature partially transparent elements are to be avoided, therefore it needs to be a solid artwork, an example below shows what is required:

3. Should artworks contain lines in them (like Line Art), the line can only be at least 1mm thick or more, judging by looking at the artwork, if you feel lines are too thin, do not hestitate to have them fixed as this will save you from issues in the long, refer to the example below:

4. As shown in the Direct-to-garment information page, trimmed artwork is a must , as not having trimmed artwork can give a size misrepresentation of the print, examples below:
